Magnetic Tape

Research throuh material project: from the study of academic research, apply and question the methods, Glasgow School of Art, 2016

I decided to work with the magnetic tape, a waste material that is going to disapear and that form a limited ressource. I started by testing the material to understand its technical characteristics. From my understanding, I transformed the magnetic tape and played with its values forming a sample library.

User tests of samples

I developed and tried different protocols to gather user’s reactions upon a selection of samples. The analysis from these user tests helped me to imagine possible application and uses for the magnetic tape.
