Our places of living are smaller and smaller and often don’t allow us to have a spare bedroom. The living room then becomes the place in which guests stay. This raises questions of privacy. How can I eat my morning toast without invading my guest’s space? Frim this reflection came ‘Toile de fond’, a sofa-bed with a configurable screen, which can be moved to create a bedhead, or separate the bed from the rest of the room.
